I’m a natural peoples person – being friendly and interested in others. I have well honed people skills having spent 30 years in complementary health practice. I’ve had private practices in acupuncture, psychotherapy and more recently ecotherapy. I have been a manager and owner of clinics for complementary health in Warwickshire and Cornwall. In 2016 I returned to the farm in Fermanagh to develop Common Ground N.I. with its mission of bringing people into deeper relationship with nature and self/others in nature. I also have a very earthy pragmatic side that comes from growing up on the farm. I’m an avid gardener and have been outdoors person enjoying hill walking, scuba diving, surfing and camping. I’m interested in active engagement with the cultural and societal changes necessary to meeting the challenges of climate change and species extinction. I’m generous in spirit and like having some fun along the way.
I am part of a small team focused on the future of the farm and its inhabitants. We are looking at various options for shared ownership and responsibility for the land, the buildings and the diverse ecosystem.
We are part of a layered community that has been growing around Common Ground – this includes local people involved in services and events and others who support our work at a provincial, national and international level.
The overall mission is to secure a sustainable future for the farm and to create a sacred place of sanctuary for all beings.
This includes facilitating the growth of the social enterprise Common Ground N.I. which has a specific mission – To create a space where individuals and groups from all communities can explore their relationships with the natural environment and each other.
