Social Media Intern for GEN International Hours: Up to 20/month, flexible around your schedule and availability Location: Remote, work with Eva Goldfarb Focus: Instagram + LinkedIn (TikTok if you’re into it!) Hi! I’m Eva, and I run social media for GEN International — the global network connecting ecovillages, intentional communities, and regenerative culture-builders across every continent. I’m looking for a co-conspirator to help me tell the stories of the people quietly building the future: off-grid villages in the Philippines, permaculture farms in Senegal, urban cohousing projects in Berlin, elders passing down land wisdom in the Andes. It’s a wildly rich, wildly underrepresented world, and I want more people to fall in love with it the way I have. What you’ll actually do: Dream up and create content for Instagram and LinkedIn (reels, carousels, stories, captions that don’t sound like a corporate newsletter) Dig into our global network and turn your findings into stories people want to share Pitch your own ideas. If there’s a series, a theme, a format, or a corner of the network that lights you up, that’s what I want you to focus on. What we’re looking for: A natural storyteller, someone who can spot the human thread in a project update or a photo from a faraway village Genuinely curious about ecovillages, sustainability, intentional community, regenerative living Self-motivated and communicative; this is a flexible, trust-based role Why this role: This isn’t a “post 3x a week and don’t ask questions” internship. You’ll have real creative freedom to work on what excites you, learn how a global grassroots network tells its story, and build a portfolio full of meaningful, purpose-driven content. This conference is an intentional experience of community. Whether you live in an intentional community, are interested in joining or starting one, are a networker or organizer, or are new to intentional communities, this conference will have something for you. Come learn about the intentional communities of the western US, gain skills and understanding for living in and developing intentional communities, and find mutual support and camaraderie with others involved with intentional community. Come celebrate the diverse types of community that exist, expand the potential of increased inclusiveness, and explore Intentional Community as a model for impacting wider social change. This year’s theme: Collective Liberation Intentional communities as living laboratories for social transformation: Addressing privilege and oppression within intentional communities and the movement, and intentional communities as vehicles for cultivating collective liberation in larger society. Venue: Sahale Learning Center is an EcoVillage with a dozen residents, valuing permaculture principles, integrating human activities with the land, supporting human development and conscientious stewardship of all living things. 15 Julio: Día de “Refuerzo” (opcional/obligatoria según tu experiencia) 16-20 Julio: curso Nivel II DESCRIPCIÓN (35-45 Horas de formación) Este curso pretende ayudar al estudiante a pensar incluyendo la paja para poder diseñar los detalles constructivos necesarios para hacer una casa bien acabada y eficaz en términos estructurales, térmicos y estéticos. Esta formación es la continuación del curso Nivel 1, que está especializado en Muros de Carga de paja y la auto-construcción. Ahora profundizamos más, damos más detalles y más trucos… ya que en el primer curso enfocamos para conseguir una casa fuerte y funcional- para darles a los estudiantes la confianza para atreverse a construir. Ahora queremos ir más allá y lograr que la casa quede cómo deseas y planificas. Hay aproximadamente 4 horas diarias de prácticas, 2h de teoría y 1h de ejercicios de diseño en grupos reducidos. El idea, es que este curso es la continuación del Nivel 1. Si no has asistido al Nivel 1 y Si no has manipulado nunca una bala, ni has revocado directamente sobre balas con tierra arcillosa, será OBLIGATORIO asistir el día de refuerzo. También invitamos a gente que han estudiado la “introducción” a la construcción con Paja con otra personas que no sean Rikki o Maren, y a gente que quieren “refrescarse,” a participar en este primer día.
