Honeyville Nature Reserve is situated in the Eastern Cape bordering the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve. It is an hour from Port Elizabeth inland from Jeffreys Bay and Cape St Francis and St Francis Bay. It is composed of 800 hectares of land of which only 45 hectares are reserved for sustainable development. The remaining land is protected wild land and rich in biodiversity. Of the 30 hectares of old arable land we are currently farming organic produce on 10 acres.. We support a Permaculture ethos and this we are beginning to implement, commencing with the layout and planning of produce and eco homes. We are attracting investors for 20 footprints within the reserve with which 50% of the sale profits will be invested directly back into infraxtructure. This will be for the availability of water at the sites and for the planting of the permaculture gardens.
Our vision is a sustainable lifestyle for those residing there or as an Artists retreat. There are proposed private eco-sites within the pristine vegetation and also sites within a village setting surrounded by the permaculture gardens. We propose to create a yoga and spa facility as well as hold workshops for natural building, medicinal plant learning, indigenous knowledge , yoga etc..
The 20 footprints available for SALE secure an independent Title Deed. Gps co-ordinates and a landmap are available on our site at www.ecohoneyville.wordpress.com
We are seeking like minded people with a consciousness to preserve, honour and grow this vision. All new structures to be 100% green and the entire village is to be self sustainable.
