We founded the Associação Permacultural Jacutinga do Caparaó in 2017, now we are 14 families in this group. We are located in the Caparaó region, in the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil. We are agroforesting an area of 6 hectares, in a land of 12 hectares, and our intention is to create a permacultural school in this area. Now some families are constructing their houses, expecting to move there soon.
We are a group of studies and practices in technologies for the transition. Our understanding of transition is the process of change that humanity must go through to continue to exist in a healthy way on this planet.
We share the idea that it is necessary to regenerate many ecosystems that are now out of balance. We see ourselves as an inseparable part of the whole existence.
We propose a comprehensive observation that allows us to act from specificities and necessary local adaptations. We want to act by sharing and exchanging with related local and global communities.
