What we do

The first eco village in Kazakhstan. This is an important step in creating the essential debate about the impacts we as a species are having on our planet. We want people to realise that there are alternative ways to live in a manner that is less impactful and creates residential areas that are good for the resident’s health and wellbeing and raise the quality of life for all.We believe that it’s important to promote a sustainable approach to the way we live Kazakhstan is a signatory to the historic Paris agreement on climate change, so it’s essential that we develop as many strategies as possible to become as carbon neutral as possible. We have a wonderful site located at the food hill of our glorious mountains; the great Almaty peak is one of the dominating features of this land. Aua will be a place where people come first, it will be designed in a way that makes it easier to walk and cycle everywhere and all the streets will be tree lined with generous landscape areas. We are developing a series of walking routes that will allow residents and visitors to navigate through-out the village without the need to be near roads. The village has at its core our farm that will grow organic produce for the residents, the accent will be on local seasonal, we will also have a limited amount of livestock some horses and cattle that will live in some of the wilder park areas, we also intend to have foul to produce organic eggs for the villagers. Residents will be able to get involved in the food production aspects of the village if they so wish. We’re planning the village with bio-swells to use water efficiently and minimise armful run off, we want to use natural porous materials that will benefit the soil, the landscaped areas will be as wild and full of native species as possible. Apples are synonymous with Almaty’s identity and we will have apple orchards as core part of the landscaped areas. Residents will be able to enjoy walks in nature with incredible views of the mountains
