What we do

This project is currently in the planning stages.
Portland, Jamaica is verdant, the safest parish, and highly agrarian.
I have already scoped out the land I am interested in, my family has land there. It is very rural and the plots of land are mostly off-grid and designated for homesteading. The smallest plots are already sold and the bigger ones hold the promise for community life with ocean view.
There is a shallow river for bathing that is public and a public beach as well as a private beach for plot owners.
The road is marl and not paved. The plots remaining for sale are elevated and of varying topographies.
I am an entrepreneur but I currently do not hold any wealth. I do however have a manifesto for going Carbon Neutral Now. This community we establish would be without oil, gas, or plastic. We would operate carbon neutrally and document the process for others to learn from.
Jamaica is still stuck in the past as it relates to certain basic human rights but I am not. I believe in freedom of expression and respecting consenting adults.
The country’s climate is subject to hurricane, flooding, drought and earthquakes. That said these tend not to be disastrous.
At this point, the whole world needs to be Carbon Neutral Now.
With this in mind, this community is intended to pioneer and help steer a Carbon Neutral and Social Justice Revolution backed by Blockchain technology and a determination to acknowledge full human rights for all NOW and the end to war until we have achieved Carbon Neutrality.
It is important for me to live somewhere where all are welcome and we have space enough that people can pass through and feel at home and then continue on their journey for finding their forever home after resting their bones with us.
I like meeting new people and helping strangers just as long as they are not hateful or harassing.
I have several projects but the most important currently is the plan of action for us as a human family to become Carbon Neutral Now.

How to join

Please write an introductory email to te***********@***il.com detailing whether you:
1. Have money to purchase land (50k plots are probably still available)
2. Have experience in Carbon Neutral living or eco-communities
3. What your current work is and your skills
4. An explanation of your values and what Carbon Neutrality means to you
5. Your understanding of social justice and human rights
6. Whether you condemn hate and sabotage of ecological efforts
7. Whether you are accepting of various spiritualities and means of connecting to the cosmos and one’s inner world
8. Whether you have ever been subject to online harassment or stalking and how you have handled it
9. Whether you know of ecological activists in need of a respite who are happy to travel (offsetting their travel by supporting tree conservation projects and plastic pollution prevention efforts)
10. Whether you are accepting of various gender and sexual expressions
11. What your politics boil down to
12. Your bio – age, origin, nationality, etc
13. Your network
We will then have a video conference on Crewdle the green video conferencing platform once I can afford an account again (my old account is attached to my old email)
We will make quick group meetings with all potential candidates and have chemistry readings for what will make for a powerful core team.
Our aim is to make the world Carbon Neutral Now. This is the mission. I have a manifesto, a song and I wish to create a guidebook/manual and cookbook to go along with these to complete the set. This bundle along with perhaps some of the games I have made help us to kickstart a revolution, a necessary one, and reach out to our sphere of influence and demand change now in order to preserve life on planet earth.
This will happen. We will be the ones to do it. I have had portent dreams but not just that, I have felt the end result and it is not only feasible but it is as good as we would hope. The world can be glorious. You want it? Come get it

Social Media Intern for GEN International Hours: Up to 20/month, flexible around your schedule and availability Location: Remote, work with Eva Goldfarb Focus: Instagram + LinkedIn (TikTok if you’re into it!) Hi! I’m Eva, and I run social media for GEN International — the global network connecting ecovillages, intentional communities, and regenerative culture-builders across every continent. I’m looking for a co-conspirator to help me tell the stories of the people quietly building the future: off-grid villages in the Philippines, permaculture farms in Senegal, urban cohousing projects in Berlin, elders passing down land wisdom in the Andes. It’s a wildly rich, wildly underrepresented world, and I want more people to fall in love with it the way I have. What you’ll actually do: Dream up and create content for Instagram and LinkedIn (reels, carousels, stories, captions that don’t sound like a corporate newsletter) Dig into our global network and turn your findings into stories people want to share Pitch your own ideas. If there’s a series, a theme, a format, or a corner of the network that lights you up, that’s what I want you to focus on. What we’re looking for: A natural storyteller, someone who can spot the human thread in a project update or a photo from a faraway village Genuinely curious about ecovillages, sustainability, intentional community, regenerative living Self-motivated and communicative; this is a flexible, trust-based role Why this role: This isn’t a “post 3x a week and don’t ask questions” internship. You’ll have real creative freedom to work on what excites you, learn how a global grassroots network tells its story, and build a portfolio full of meaningful, purpose-driven content. Plus you’ll be talking to people living some of the most interesting, intentional lives on the planet. If storytelling for a better world sounds like your kind of fun, let’s talk.

Learn Permaculture Where it's LIVED

Setting. VerdEnergia Pacifica is situated in the mountainous region of Puriscal, Costa Rica. While the Puriscal area is largely deforested, we have worked hard to reforest our corner of the neighborhood and are happily situated in a lush jungle oasis with fresh spring water, lots of fruit trees and a few humble waterfalls. Our area is largely untouched by tourism and our local community embodies a true Costa Rican campo environment. Students have access to our facilities, including a yoga/dance studio, community library and a spring-fed swimming pool. Pricing. Course starts at $1775. A non-refundable $400 deposit is due upon your registration (this is not an additional fee). The rest is paid upon arrival in cash. We calculate course prices based on where you choose to stay, and what you choose to eat. A camping spot (with your own gear), full vegetarian (vegan optional) meals and daily yoga/meditation is included in the basic cost of the course. The price of beds (private and dorms) and meat with meals is additional. We are happy to offer a few subsidized or discounted spots to Costa Ricans and other residents of Central/South America. Please inquire here for information about discounts. Sleeping Arrangements. We have a range of accommodations available, including private rooms, dormitory beds, and camping spots. It is important to understand that our infrastructure is integrated with the surrounding natural environment; all rooms are open-air. • Camping spot (No additional cost) • Dorm bed (+$15/night) • Private room (+$30/night) We cannot supply tents or bedding for campers. Hammock space is very limited, so if you plan on bringing a hammock, please plan accordingly. Food. Each meal features farm-fresh, local ingredients, many of which are grown on the project site. • Vegan (No additional cost) • V
