Fayu International Ecovillage aims to protect the forestry ecology and the black land, and on this basis, rationally utilize the forest resources so that the old forest farms can burst with new vitality. The whole project is based on the deep exploration of the value of the forest, the protection and reconstruction of the old forest culture and rural culture, and the reverence for the ecological environment, based on the forest area and facing the world. Through the participation of local resources and conscious design of sustainable ecology, economy, culture, and community, the project will create a new type of village that promotes sustainable regeneration of society and the natural environment, a sustainable agricultural education and experience base, and an ecologically civilized community that builds and shares a community of life.
With an east-west length of 3.6 kilometers and a dumbbell shape, FAYU International Ecovillage has a total area of 327.54 hectares, which is divided into the east and west zones. The west area is a high-end lodging and study base and related facilities, while the east area is divided into a natural farming area, villagers’ living area, ecological lodging area, and a train camp. Among them, the train camp is made by leveling and transforming the original abandoned mudflat, and the ecological lodging and villagers’ living area is made by transforming the old dangerous houses. All of our planning and implementation always put the protection of the ecological environment in the first place, in line with the reverence for nature to treat every blade of grass and every tree in the region, and make the whole project from beginning to end to reflect the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. This is our original intention and the bottom line we insist on.
There are a total of 34 houses and 83 households in the former Fengmao Forestry Residential Area in the East District.
