Ready to connect with the hidden aspects of yourself? The “shadow” are all the hidden or unconscious aspects of oneself, both positive and negative, that the ego has repressed or never acknowledged. In other words, the shadow is all we push out of our conscious awareness, all we disown in ourselves, all that is unwanted, ugly, unloved or simply uncomfortable or unbearable to look at so that we exclude it from what we show to the world. But what we exclude and disown becomes larger than life and scares us. This workshop will give you a solid and integrated approach towards achieving a deep healing, transformation and permanent change, as well as some practical tools for a healthy, rich, rewarding and more complete emotional life. The final goal is to make space or, in other words, to open our hearts to be able to include all those parts or situations that belong to each of us and our system. The goal is not to solve anything, but to allow some conscious movements or processes that make us more aware of the aspects that we have rejected and which, consciously or unconsciously, we are in conflict with. An open invitation to all those whom are interested in stepping into action. Dear whom ever is reading this, we are this years participants of YIP (Youth Initiative Program). A 10 month societal entrepreneurship training based in Ytterjärna, just south of Stockholm, Sweden. As well as working on our capacity to become active and take initiative, we aim to understand what tasks are ours to take on. Part of the program involves organising a 5 day conference from April 8th-12th, the Initiative Forum. Our theme this year is “Redefining Growth”. Initiative Forum 2020 aims to reshape the linear boundaries of growth in our current economic paradigm. Our ‘Crisis of Imagination’ expresses itself in both inner and outer symptoms — for example, the over extraction of both personal and planetary resources We see that our way of thinking is the roots that has lead us to where we are today, and our thinking is something we are able to change. We believe that only whilst being connected, will the small changes we make expand into far greater movements. We think it crucial however, firstly to look at who is pioneering in this (we think brilliant) work. In doing this, we are striving to create a place where inspiration, knowledge and experience can be shared. With new-found understanding we hope to engage your critical thinking. We want to provoke you to actively engage in both local and introspective growth. We intend to explore this through our knowledge of Interconnection, leaving lots of room to craft a program of speakers, workshops and activities that we really think can make a difference. During this week we will explore what it means to create and to be community. We will use permaculture principles, permaculture design and practices from indigenous cultures worldwide as our main toolbox. At the same time we will be experiencing community life first-hand in the new eco-community of Haslachhof, which will be our venue, our village and our social landscape to design for and with. We will also be sharing practices of cultural repair as they have been gathered over time by earth-based people worldwide and spread by the 8 shields community. On top of this connecting with self and others we will also connect to the land and its creatures – we are blessed to have forests and a creek nearby. We will practice nature connected community design by working on design exercises relating to the Haslachhof community. This course is for everyone interested in community design and suits people who have already done a full 72 hours permaculture design course and want to deepen their social permaculture skills as well as for people without any previous permaculture or nature connection experience who want to learn about community design and deep nature connection.
