What we do

Quinta Esencia is an ecoliteracy center located in a natural environment within the province of Buenos Aires. Our mission is to inspire the co-creation of new regenerative cultures for a thriving and healthy future for human and planetary life as a whole. We do it throught holistic learning experiences, addressing the human relationship with the environment, connecting the theoretical and practical dimension of Regeneration.
We are a team of environmental educators & permacultures. We train change-makers capable of think, feel and act following the laws and principles of nature to regenerate life in all its dimensions. Our buildings are bioclimatic and use renewable energies. We produce agro-ecological food, and thanks to the biomimetic principles in the permacultural design of the 30 hectares, every time the sun rises, it rains or the wind blows, all the systems are activated to the rhythm of nature.
We invite you to join us for “The Regenerative Experience”: we have brought together everything we know into this comprehensive program to help you embark on your own dream projects and pollinate everywhere with what you have learned and experienced with us. Our activities involve the “head, heart and hands” philosophy, which entails reflecting on new knowledge, opening up all your senses and getting your hands dirty. You can choose to participate in green building, vegetable gardening, agroforestry, beekeeping or greenhouse keeping, always based on the premise of learning by doing. We will also seek to share artistic and recreational moments involving music, singing, painting or writing.
We are part of Amartya, an NGO with more than 18 years of experience in Environmental Education. Since 2016 we develop PlanMar, a public policy that mutually benefits people and the ecosystem, favouring a systemic process of regeneration, in articulation with the local community, schools, organisations, political and economic actors.

Proyecto de Vida Despierta

¿Quiénes somos?, ¿porqué estamos aquí?, ¿a dónde vamos? Fall part time Permaculture Design Course

Dates: 9 weekends (16 days) from Sept 8th -Dec 9, 2018 What better way to wind down the growing season than to embark on a permaculture design course? During this 100 hour course students learn to read the landscape, analyse problems, and design ecological solutions for the home, garden, or city. The Permaculture Design Certificate is a participatory and dynamic learning experience; classes include in-depth permaculture theory, design methodology, exercises, and group projects. They also include a whole lot of deep questioning, laughter, and growth! The curriculum we follow at P3 was developed by the late Bill Mollison in Australia in the 1970’s, and is today regarded as the standard in permaculture education, recognized and respected worldwide. At P3, our facilitators emphasize that permaculture goes beyond gardening and agriculture. With permaculture we can design solutions for: food deserts, the heat-island effect, and mis-managed waste systems. With edible landscaping and ecological architecture, we can increase the efficiency of our homes, our farms, and our communities. The solutions-based vision of permaculture practice is holistic and regenerative. P3 Permaculture alum have used their PDC to start projects and businesses in permaculture consultation, education, ecological agriculture, regenerative community organizing, urban farming, composting, and much more. The PDC program helps students to closely observe the natural principles and patterns that drive ecological systems. Understanding nature and our place within it is the first step towards healing broken systems. We hope that you can join us!
