Hi! I’m Eva, and I run social media for GEN International — the global network connecting ecovillages, intentional communities, and regenerative culture-builders across every continent. I’m looking for a co-conspirator to help me tell the stories of the people quietly building the future: off-grid villages in the Philippines, permaculture farms in Senegal, urban cohousing projects in Berlin, elders passing down land wisdom in the Andes. It’s a wildly rich, wildly underrepresented world, and I want more people to fall in love with it the way I have. What you’ll actually do: Dream up and create content for Instagram and LinkedIn (reels, carousels, stories, captions that don’t sound like a corporate newsletter) Dig into our global network and turn your findings into stories people want to share Pitch your own ideas. If there’s a series, a theme, a format, or a corner of the network that lights you up, that’s what I want you to focus on. What we’re looking for: A natural storyteller, someone who can spot the human thread in a project update or a photo from a faraway village Genuinely curious about ecovillages, sustainability, intentional community, regenerative living Self-motivated and communicative; this is a flexible, trust-based role Why this role: This isn’t a “post 3x a week and don’t ask questions” internship. You’ll have real creative freedom to work on what excites you, learn how a global grassroots network tells its story, and build a portfolio full of meaningful, purpose-driven content. Durante los días 2, 3 y 4 de septiembre, más de 400 personas y 70 expertos del hábitat ecológico se dieron cita en la Sierra de Gata, norte de Cáceres, en el recién celebrado VIII Encuentro Ibérico de Ecoaldeas, punto de encuentro y convivencia de pioneros y grupos interesados en el desarrollo y conocimiento del hábitat natural y sostenible, y sus formas de vida en armonía con la naturaleza. Durante 8 años consecutivos, y eligiendo un proyecto natural pionero para organizar los encuentros anuales nacionales, la Red Ibérica de Ecoaldeas (RIE) viene convocando cada año una convivencia de 3 días en la que se muestrala opción de la sostenibilidady su aprendizaje, lo que implica vivir en armonía con los mínimosmedios. En esta ocasión fue la Fundación Ecotopía, pionera durante más de 20 años en el desarrollo sostenible en el medio rural, quien asumió la organización del evento con el apoyo de 40 personas colaboradoras. Ecotopía ya había celebrado durante todo el mes de julio en El Molino, Parador de Ti Mismo, el I Encuentro Nacional de Hábitat Sostenible en el cual se bioconstruyó “in situ” una casa con balas de paja a la cal (Sistema Ismael Caballero) semienterrada. Talleres didácticos Los días de convivencia en este Encuentro Ibérico estuvieron cuajados de talleres prácticos, que mostraron a los asistentes las técnicas más interesantes de bioconstrucción, uso de materiales naturales y reciclados, energías renovables, agricultura orgánica o permacultura, los últimos descubrimientos sobre la memoria del agua y su cualidad transformadora y sanadora, la facilitación de formas de financiación de los proyectos naturales, modelos de educación consciente, de salud natural, presentación de nuevos proyectos y asambleas de la RIE. Especial hincapié se hizo en el proyecto de la Fundación Ecotopía, organizadora del evento, que proyecta la creación de una ecoaldea en el norte de Cáceres.
