I am a Dutch-trained Agricultural Engineer with a postgrad in Environmental Sustainability. Though Dutch, I’ve spent most of my career abroad: Nigeria, Vietnam, Peru, Kenya, and Tanzania since 2009. My passion is making complex concepts understandable. I belief that teaching someone to fish isn’t enough — what matters is helping people understand the ecosystem around the problem, so they can build and adapt their own strategies. That’s the thinking behind my work training youth in regenerative agriculture.
With my husband, I run farms across three very different Tanzanian landscapes — Pangani Coast, the Mufindi Highlands, and the Maasai plains of Monduli — where we’re doing land renovation, tree planting, food forests, and sustainable forestry and agriculture. We’re turning these into learning and inspiration sites where people can come work, share, and grow together, alongside local partners. Reach out — you’re vey welcome to join us.
