I grew up in (former) East Germany in a family that was trying to live differently. Permaculture and vegetarianism were words most people had never heard of in the 90s. We were kind of aliens in our village, and all my siblings and I wanted was to be “normal.”
Today, I am proud of my parents and my childhood, though one part of completing our strangeness was missing—the community. Still, I believe we should all consume less, produce less waste, and generally simplify our lives. And I believe we are not meant to live alone. So I want to be surrounded by like-minded people who share a vision aligned with mine. Our time on Earth is limited, and I want to spend it in a meaningful and joyful way—best achieved with and for the people I love. I am looking for a well-established community: people who know how to handle conflicts, who live for their vision rather than fighting against the system, and who value our connection to Mother Earth. Loving people. Lovely people.
