Qi Feng Shan Ecovillage is located in Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China, at the foot of Zhangguangcai Ridge in the Changbai Mountains. Situated in one of the world’s four major black soil regions, the village is surrounded by mountains on three sides with rich biodiversity and over 700 mu of cultivated land.
Since its founding in 2016, the community has grown from 2 households to a vibrant village of 80+ “new farmers” over the past decade. In 2025, Qi Feng Shan was selected for the “White Paper on Global Ecological Communities 2.0” as the only demonstration case from mainland China that year.
