For the past 20 years the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) and its regional affiliate, GEN-Africa, have been developing a transformative model, using an integrated, multi-sectoral community-based approach to create sustainable and resilient ecovillage communities. Africa is home to some of the most innovative Ecovillage programmes in the world, notably in Senegal where the success of grassroots ecovillage communities has led to the development of a National Ecovillage Agency working to transform 14,000 rural villages into ecovillages.

You are invited – and you are needed – to participate in One World Bearing Witness, a free 24-hour global ritual designed to take a step toward healing our divided humanity and the destruction of our Earth. For 24-hours, from December 2nd to 3rd, using the latest videoconferencing technology, you can participate in a live, virtual ritual space that will enable you and thousands of like-minded people around the globe to bear witness to Unity and wholeness in the face of the historical wrongs that we humans have done to each other and to life on this planet. By holding this whole of the human experience together — not as a concept or idea but as a felt resonance within the field of consciousness that participants will be in together — we can create a new potential for healing connection within human consciousness. Together, we can take the ancient role and potential of ritual to a new level in the digital age. Find out more: go to One World Bearing Witness. Register now – it’s free with donations gratefully accepted – and receive a beautiful ebook, The Gift of Peace, created by peace activists and artists, William Kelly and Rama Mani. Rama will be part of One World Bearing Witness.
