About the event

This year NextGEN-Europe conference will be an event full of opportunities to connect, share inspiration and weave a strong network.

Young people from all over Europe will come together!

If you are a young person who is somehow involved in the ecovillage network – or you want to be so in the future – we warmly invite you to bring your experience, dreams and being into our conference!

Young people who already live in ecovillages/sustainable communities, or those who are involved in sustainable or social projects are especially called. We want to hear your opinion and build connection between us – Europe’s next generation.

We will – as the youth organisation of GEN (Global Ecovillage Network) – take almost fully part in the GEN conference, taking place from 9th till 13th of July. For more details about it check: http://gen-europe.org/activities/gen-conference/gen-conference-2014/index.htm

NextGEN conference starts 4 days before the GEN conference. In this time we will focus on NextGEN only and work on three main topics:

1. Networking – Hear and connect with each other.
Share about our projects. See what is happening in Europe. Build friendships with like-minded people.

2. Get inspiration – Different workshops and speakers will share with us their insights and ideas, giving a way to continue our path of learning and finding our own truth. We will give you a taste of different tools that help us create sustainable communities.

3. Strengthen NextGEN – We will continue discovering and building the potential within the NextGEN Europe movement, look at future activities and start new projects.

La celebración del Yule tiene origen pre-cristiana. Constituía sobre todo una fiesta de la familia y estuvo siempre dedicada a la fertilidad, a los solsticios y a la familia. Era una festividad donde también se recordaba a los ancestros, los amigos ausentes, y la mesa donde se celebraba la fiesta se preparaba con esplendor y magnificencia.

Ecovillage Design Education-2017

‘Eco Village Design Education’ conducted at Siddharth Village, Odisha, India is a transforming experience. The course is designed with EDE mandala as base, integrating the ‘World view’, ‘Social’, ‘Economic’ and ‘Ecology’ dimensions. ‘World view’ and ‘Social’ dimensions are process oriented. They set a stage for questioning long held perspectives about life, oneself and the world around. This in turn may lead to experiencing changes ‘here and now’. Relaxation and meditation techniques, exercises to manifest desires and so on, facilitate participants to experience the incredible connection between mind and matter/body, mind and energy systems. All this happens in an appropriate and relaxed pace. Conflict transformation in social dimension is learnt in experiential. Participants will have an opportunity to live in an ecovillage of indegenous people and imbibe their wisdom. Permaculture in ecology dimension of the course integrated with above mentioned dimensions is highly practical, equipping one with the knowledge, skill and appropriate attitude. Fun is a part of the course but learning takes place in depth. Set in an ambience of simplistic luxury, the course is a treasure house of the wisdom of EAST. G.John

Wentorfer Ökodorf summit hub

Am Sonntag, den 3.Februar von 15:00 bis 17:30 Uhr werden wir hier in Wentorf aus drei englischsprachigen Interviews eins auswählen und gemeinsam gucken. May East, Christian Felber or Sabine Lichtenfeld werden am Sonntag vormittag interviewt. wir schauen eine einstündige Aufzeichnung. Bei Bedarf kann übersetzt werden. Im Anschluss möchten wir uns austauschen: Was hat mir gut gefallen? Wo sehe ich Herausforderungen/ was passt mir nicht? Was nehme ich mit? Für mich persönlich oder für Wentorf.

Domestic Waste Water Treatment syste

This weekend course will introduce the participants into the theoretical background and needs for waste water purification. At the same time it will provide practice for the construction itself and leave the attendees with knowledge directly applicable in their homes.
