CASA Latina lives on.

The CASA Latina Communications Circle provides a brief overview of the activities carried out by the CASA Latina central collective, demonstrating how vibrant our network is. The pace is what it is, given that the focus is on the commitment to the local work of each community, initiative, or agent of change in our network.

We can report that in 2025, CASA Latina held three general assemblies. One was in person in Misiones, Argentina; the other two were virtual.

The last assembly agreement was the approval of a Protocol for managing conflicts and differences. This invites us to be resilient and to understand that the strength of our communities is based on resilience in the face of all the adversities involved in daring to make the leap from an individualistic culture focused on industrial growth to a collaborative, community-based culture that promotes education for peace.

A proposal to restructure vision keepers is underway, reviving the circle of the National CASAs council.

This year, there has been a strong desire among many caretakers to empower a campaign to generate prosperity in the network.

The topic of AI has been brought to the table. We know that the use of this technological advance consumes a lot of water, and we also know that, when used properly, it can support our efforts. This opens up a discussion about consistency and appropriate use.

We have heard about a new web platform from GEN, our parent network, and we are eager to find out how we can integrate into this new website when it launches. We know that this is being developed in partnership with the Communities Foundation of the United States and Canada. We are looking forward to the imminent launch so that we can join in the celebrations.

The COP was held in South America, in Belém do Pará, with the participation of many Caseros.

Upcoming meetings: The Continental Meeting of Communities (ECCO) will be held in Oxapampa, Peru, in 2027. The Call of the Mountain of Colombia will be held in 2026, with the dream of systematizing the lessons learned in a book. The Call of CASA Youth also has a place and date.

Our commitment:

In particular, our Communications circle has managed to uphold what is essential: building trust, constantly reminding ourselves of the purpose of our alliance, recognizing the value of each member, and welcoming new people interested in contributing.

We do not want to promise what we cannot deliver, but we are attentive to movements to unify platforms to which we have been invited by the global Transition movement with its “community waves” and to contribute to our global ecovillage network website.

We want to share our positive and auspicious outlook for the coming year.

El Círculo de Comunicaciones de CASA Latina informa muy someramente de las actividades realizadas por el colectivo central de CASA Latina, dando cuenta de lo vivo que está nuestro tejido. El ritmo es el que es, atendido que lo central es el compromiso con el trabajo local de cada comunidad, iniciativa o agente de cambio de nuestra red.

Podemos informar que este año 2025 CASA Latina celebró tres asambleas generales. Una en forma presencial en Misiones, Argentina; las otras dos fueron virtuales.

El último acuerdo asambleario fue la aprobación de un Protocolo para gestionar conflictos y diferencias. Este hecho nos invita a comprender que la fortaleza de nuestras comunidades se basa en la resiliencia frente a todas las adversidades que implica atrevernos a saltar de una cultura individualista y enfocada en el crecimiento industrial a una cultura colaborativa, comunitaria y que promueve la educación para la paz.

Está en marcha una propuesta de reestructuración de guardianes de visión, recuperando el círculo del consejo de CASAs Nacionales.

Ha emergido con fuerza este año la voluntad de múltiples caseros de empoderar una campaña para generar prosperidad en la red.

El tema IA se ha puesto sobre la mesa. Sabemos que el uso de este avance tecnológico utiliza bastante agua y también sabemos que, bien utilizada, puede apoyar nuestros esfuerzos. Se abre la reflexión sobre coherencia y uso adecuado.

Tenemos noticia de una nueva plataforma web de GEN, nuestra red madre y estamos muy pendientes de saber cómo integrarnos a esta nueva web para el momento en que se estrene. Sabemos que esto está siendo trabajado en alianza con la Fundación de Comunidades de Estados Unidos y Canadá. Estamos pendientes del inminente lanzamiento, para sumarnos a los festejos.

La COP se realizó en América del Sur, en Belén do Pará y tuvo participación de múltiples Caseros.

Próximos encuentros: El Encuentro continental de Comunidades (ECCO) se realizará en Oxapampa Perú el año 2027. El Llamado de la Montaña de Colombia se realizará este 2026 que tiene el sueño de sistematizar los aprendizajes en un libro. El Llamado de CASA Jóvenes también tiene lugar y fecha.

Nuestro compromiso:

En particular, nuestro círculo de Comunicaciones ha logrado sostener lo esencial: la construcción de confianzas, el recordarnos permanentemente el propósito de nuestra alianza, el reconocimiento de la valía de cada integrante y también hemos sabido acoger a los nuevos interesados en contribuir.

No queremos prometer lo que no podemos cumplir, pero estamos atentos a movimientos de unificación de plataformas a que nos han invitado desde el movimiento mundial de Transición con sus “olas comunitarias” y a aportar a nuestra web de la red global de ecoaldeas.

Queremos dar noticia de nuestra percepción positiva y auspiciosa para este año que viene.
