This Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) course, certified by both Gaia Education and GEN, is named “Creating a Transformative Culture” highlighting a new way of being and acting that organically evolves when we make fundamental changes both in ourselves and in the world around us.
Programme
Through exploring the Four Dimensions of Sustainability: culture, social, ecological and economical particpants learn how to create eco-projects and communities. At the beginning, specially invited guest facilitators Clinton Callahan and Anne Schmid will take the group on a dive deep in the social dimension of “Possibility Management”. The programme then continues with several highly qualified trainers, including pioneers from the community of Schloss Glarisegg and as well as from other international communities.
Within the four weeks participants also lead or take part in a project group, where real projects are founded or further developed, to be presented to all at the end of the training. In these groups, people have the opportunity to experience and apply the elements and tools learned in each of the four dimensions.
Collaborative Laboratory with EDE alumni
Excitingly, the closing days are made up of a collaborative laboratory together with the alumni of previous Glarisegg EDEs. These are days for getting to know each other, each other’s projects, networking and exchange best practices.
