Oct 31 – Nov 7: Global Ecovillage Network Oceania & Asia (GENOA) International Conference
“Ecovillages for Sustainable Development” – A Model for Climate Change Adaptation.
We will be hosting our first international conference in India this year “Ecovillages for Sustainable Development – A Model for Climate Change Adaptation”, from October 31st ~ November 7th, 2014, in Orissa, India.
The GENOA International Conference 2014 aims at supporting community-based climate change action, as well as creating the space for ideas, experiences and solutions to be exchanged for sustainable living in the cultural, social, ecological and economic dimensions.
It will be an interactive and fun learning space, one that will promote community living, ecological land care practices, and indigenous sustainable rural development.

Global Ecovillage Summit, 10 – 14 December 2014, Senegal, Africa
The first Global Ecovillage Summit aims to mainstream Ecovillage strategies in regional and national sustainable development programs, in order to support community-led responses to climate change.
The Senegalese government has launched a program to transition 14,000 traditional villages to Ecovillages. What can we learn from this? The summit will bring together governmental decision makers, social entrepreneurs, NGO representatives, and Ecovillage experts from around the world, to share solutions and exchange best practices.
If you are interested in attending the summit, please contact the conference organization team at co*****@********ca.org and see http://www.gen-africa.org/ges2014 for further information.
