Dear friends,

also this year there will be the European Ecovillage Excellence Award – thanks to the generosity of Gaia Trust!
This year, I suggest we nominate projects through the list for all of us to see, maybe this sparks some inspiration for others, too. You can nominate yourself or others. The award will be given only to full members of GEN-Europe.

It will be awarded during the conference in Damanhur, where the candidates will make a presentation of their project.

The criteria are

1. The award will reflect some specific breakthrough or achievement over the last year in addition to general excellence over the years
2. It will help GEN-Europe promote the ecovillage model in an accessible and attractive way to policy-makers, planners and the wider public
3. Some account will be made of how each of the candidates plan to use the prize money.

The prize will be about 3000 Euros, a certificate and a piece of pottery.
