The adventures of the EarthCode project

EarthCode is a portal of information that hosts the findings of two adventurers in search of an intentionally sustainable future. By documenting the experiences whilst visiting or residing in settlements, eco-villages and communities, EarthCode’s discoveries report on sustainable aspects of life, be it for intentional or survival reasons. It also documents on the efforts of individuals that contribute to the global awareness of positive life and values local expressions of emotion through whichever artistic mediums are employed.

The adventures of the EarthCode project in search of an intentionally sustainable future led our path towards incredible places, while exploring and participating in ‘minga’, building, harvesting, organising photo exhibitions and conferences, creating and co-creating dreams and movements.
Since conceiving EarthCode, we have striven to identify sustainable lifestyle aspects in family groups, ecovillages, Indigenous tribes, transition towns, and communities alike. As such, we have implemented a few important tools in order to arrive at a type of ´sustainable quotient´ that can quantify the straight forward data and qualify some of the more subtle information that we continue to discover.

After 51 months of adventure, we have gathered over 4 terabytes of photos, videos and audio, collected primary data including interviews and on-site investigations, leaving behind positive footprints while participating in the daily life of community activities. This has allowed us to create a database from within sustainable settlements in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Australia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia.

Some of the results found inspired us to conceptualise Pan-Ba´Sa, a 60-minute documentary about a visionary reunion, a more sustainable way of life.
PAN-BA´SA, FOR ALL!

Pan-Ba´Sa is an independent production of the EarthCode Project in partnership with Urantia TV about the “Call of the Mountain”, an experimental encounter which envisions a holistic way of living on Earth and contrasts the social reality found in the area of the event, Cauca, the region of most conflict in Colombia.
Translated from the NASA Indigenous community located in the same area, Pan-Ba´Sa means “for all” and the documentary shows a direct answer to the crises faced by our planet. The “Vision Council” methodology weaves a tapestry within ten autonomous councils in the areas of education, youth, social movements & networks, ecology, ecovillages, economy, health & healing, spirituality & ancestral traditions, art & culture, and new age (a noospheric movement).
477 people from 26 countries experimented living for 7 days as 1 society, the one we have always envisioned. Among the results of this meeting there are the interconnection of conscious networks such as C.A.S.A. (Council of Sustainable Settlements of the Americas), the participation of kids and youngsters who have been brought up with this consciousness, and the harmonic relationship between ethnic groups, in addition to the sensation of having left the event with a renewed spirit for the internal and external home sheltered within ourselves.
