Challenge: Most Cameroonians especially youths and women will complain they don’t have access to agricultural land. This is because the Government laws on land ownership are too harsh to these groups of people. So what is the alternative? The population is fast growing every day and the number of mouths to feed increases. What can we do to ensure food security and quality health at the same time by consuming home grown organic vegetables?
Solution: There are used plastic bottles and other containers found everywhere in our communities. Take a bottle, cut horizontally and fill it with compost. Nurse vegetable seeds and place the bottle on roof tops, indoor, window frames, walls, etc. after some time you will be consuming organic home grown vegetables. You can also use these bottles to plant ornamental plants. With such ecological practices, we are sure to reduce, recycle and reuse waste that is currently plaguing our society.
