GEN Ambassador

Amena works with GEN/GENOA NSC to serve Mother Earth and to be an active voice for wellness and oneness in our world through meta netwworks. A permaculturist, living in TI Ecovillage in South India, She is on a mission to spread the ecovillage movement and share regenerative living through the path of loving-kindness and integral ecosystem sensing and designing. A spiritualist and devoted energy healer, her main purpose is to heal and compassionately harmonise communities with environments.

Earth Leader at Kai Farms- a permaculture project – and as part of the sustainability leadership at Transnational Diversified Group in Philippines, Amena has supported growth of regenerative rural communities and sustainable urban corporates in collaboration with UN Global Compact, focussed on aligning with and achieving UN SDGs.

Co-convenor of ‘ The Green Unconference ‘ with work partner Karla Delgado- their actions are directed towards healing, wholeness, wellness, spiritual and social transformation.

As a member of the Slow Food International, Amena is very committed to local food communities working towards fair and clean food systems that preserve traditional cooking and indigenous ingredients.

An active member of Bangalore Birth Network – promoting safe, respectful, evidence based birth and friendly care of mother, child and families.

Amena envisions scaling the Eco Village movement in India, weaving together and mapping all traditional and intentional eco communities, projects and networks in India.

Her life is guided by living simply, sweetly and sustainably, treading slowly and sacredly, loving purely and sharing abundantly.

The Global Ecovillage Network envisions a world of empowered people and communities, designing pathways to a sustainable future, while building bridges of hope and international solidarity.

As a solution-based, multi-stakeholder alliance, GEN provides information, tools, examples, and representation to the expanding global network dedicated to demonstrating principles and practices of sustainability in their lifestyles and communities.
