The Tribe Goa

The Tribe Goa - Forrest Ecovillage - Guesthouse and Cafe

The Tribe is a forrest ecovillage in the Western Ghats region in south-west India. Since 2016, The Tribe Collective has been pursuing the following objectives:

- Protect, safeguard and increase biodiversity - native nursery and seed bank, reforestation program, wild animal rescue service and rehabilitation centre
- Take action for the preservation of local culture and shift towards responsible policies - ecotourism, craftsmanship, waste management, transmission of skills and knowledge
- Showcase alternative ways of life that include sustainable notions of habitat - traditional building methods, use of responsible materials

As a solution-based, multi-stakeholder alliance, GEN provides information, tools, examples, and representation to the expanding global network dedicated to demonstrating principles and practices of sustainability in their lifestyles and communities.
