Earthsong Foundation is a land‑based regenerative community and nonprofit on Hawaiʻi Island focused on ecological restoration, permaculture education, and reciprocal place‑care. Born from a response to ecological decline and a desire to live in right relationship with place, Earthsong practices hands‑on stewardship of soils, water, habitat, and food forests while honoring the Earth as the primary teacher and spiritual guide for the community.
Our principles: Earth Care (restore ecosystems and build soil fertility), People Care (nurture wellbeing, responsibility, and skill‑sharing), and Share the Surplus (circulate food, knowledge, and resources back into the community and landscape). We host residents, volunteers, and learners for immersive, experiential training in permaculture design, regenerative agriculture, and habitat restoration, using the site as a living classroom and demonstration site.
Daily life blends practical labor—gardening, tree care, infrastructure maintenance—with organic communal practices: shared meals, skill‑shares, and mutual support of one another’s wellbeing. Governance emphasizes reliability, mutual aid, and long‑term ecological thinking. We center place‑based knowledge, respect local cultural relationships to land, and aim to model resilient, low‑impact living that increases biodiversity, food sovereignty, and community resilience.
Earthsong aspires to multiply practical capacity for regeneration by sharing methods, mentoring new stewards, and demonstrating how reciprocal human communities can restore and sustain thriving landscapes and cultures.
