Finca Las Brisas is over 150 acres of unspoiled forest and pasture. Previously a combination of grazing land and dry forest, the finca is presently being transformed into a self-sustaining oasis where the best interests of the environment and our surrounding neighbors come first. Two year round rivers – Rio Frio and Rio Naranjalito flow through the property and feeder streams follow the paths of ancient lava flows; forming picturesque waterfalls and authentic “swimming holes.” Ranging from 750 feet to 1,300 feet above sea level, the farm offers refreshing breezes and spectacular ocean and mountain views. The plentiful “quebradas” (springs) provide fresh, unspoiled water, and the hundreds of fruit trees, coffee groves, and vegetable patches that have been planted are now beginning to produce.
The self-sustaining community is comprised of 24 lots (approximately half of which are still available). There are numerous facilities and site enhancements being constructed for all lot owners to utilize, including a community center complete with infinity pool and commercial kitchen, guest lodging, miles of hiking trails, and off-grid renewable energy systems, plant-based waste management, and a pure water supply.
Currently the lot ownership at Finca Las Brisas is comprised of family, friends and other like-minded parties that share a common interest in developing a sustainable community that makes a positive contribution to surrounding local residents and the environment. We have no guiding social, political, or spiritual philosophy driving the development of the community, other than the desire to do it the right way – utilizing local workers, building materials, food, and energy.
Lot prices range between 105k – 129k and are typically 1.25 acres in size. Some have ocean views, all have stunning mountain and valley views.
