Youth Initiative Forum on Redefining Growth through Interconnection A 5 Day Conference hosted by YIP12. Open Invitation

Dear whom ever is reading this,

we are this years participants of YIP (Youth Initiative Program). A 10 month societal entrepreneurship training based in Ytterjärna, just south of Stockholm, Sweden. As well as working on our capacity to become active and take initiative, we aim to understand what tasks are ours to take on.
Part of the program involves organising a 5 day conference from April 8th-12th, the Initiative Forum.

Our theme this year is “Redefining Growth”. Initiative Forum 2020 aims to reshape the linear boundaries of growth in our current economic paradigm. Our ‘Crisis of Imagination’ expresses itself in both inner and outer symptoms — for example, the over extraction of both personal and planetary resources  We see that our way of thinking is the roots that has lead us to where we are today, and our thinking is something we are able to change. We believe that only whilst being connected, will the small changes we make expand into far greater movements. We think it crucial however, firstly to look at who is pioneering in this (we think brilliant) work. In doing this, we are striving to create a place where inspiration, knowledge and experience can be shared. With new-found understanding we hope to engage your critical thinking. We want to provoke you to actively engage in both local and introspective growth.

We intend to explore this through our knowledge of Interconnection, leaving lots of room to craft a program of speakers, workshops and activities that we really think can make a difference. We are excited to share this work with you, as we believe many of you may be interested.
