The Ecovillage Resilience project gathers all GEN Regions and 20 communities from around the world to explore resilience, adaptation and transformation in a >+2.5 degrees global warming scenario.
Follow along in our public document below, as we explore:
- How ecovillages can strengthen their practices to prepare for severe climate change or polycrisis scenarios while amplifying their collective impact and transformative capacity
- How they can enliven and foster more resilience and reciprocity within their social-ecological systems
- What their biggest gifts are for others seeking ways forward
Here you will find introductions to everything we do, and session plans and descriptions for all activities we are doing to answer those questions. This is a public version of our work. All data and reports are filtered out, but it is otherwise a mirror of what our Ecovillage Resilience Community of Practice is using. You can browse more materials by expanding the left hand side menu – by clicking the top left arrows. You can also access the same information in a more accessible format here
HAVE YOU LISTENED TO OUR PODCAST?

Thinking about Tipping Points This month, the theme we are exploring in the Ecovillage Resilience Project is tipping points – places where a changing climate could push parts of the Earth system into abrupt or irreversible change.
Thinking about Tipping Points: Reflections from the Resilience Project Are ecovillages ready for navigating crisis? I think some are, because they are already doing it. GEN Ukraine is doing heart-achingly beautiful work extending community and new hope to people in their war-torn country. Many members of GEN Africa are working hard to teach thousands of …
Ecovillage Resilience Project Dives Deep Our Resilience Project just had its first Deep Dive session. In the Deep Dive, we shift our focus from the resilience of social-ecological systems to exploring personal and interpersonal resilience, or the ability of each one of us (as well as our social relationships) to cope with shock, challenging feelings, and social dynamics that arise when we face climate change and polycrisis.
