What we do

Jyagdi EcoVillage was established to address rural depopulation, environmental degradation, and the loss of traditional farming practices. As younger generations migrate to cities or abroad, villages are left with an aging population and abandoned farmlands. To counter this trend, we provide opportunities for eco-conscious living, organic farming, and sustainable tourism that empower the local community and attract like-minded individuals from around the world.
Our Principles & Purpose
We are guided by permaculture principles, regenerative agriculture, and a commitment to a zero-waste lifestyle. Our core focus includes:
Sustainable Farming – Reviving traditional agricultural practices with organic and regenerative methods.
Eco-Tourism – Offering immersive experiences in rural Nepal, including homestays, cultural exchange, and guided eco-tours.
Community Development – Providing education, skill development, and livelihood opportunities for local residents.
Environmental Conservation – Reducing plastic waste, promoting reforestation, and implementing green technologies.
Wellness & Mindfulness – Hosting retreats, yoga, meditation, and nature-immersion programs.
Our Vision
We aspire to create a model eco-village where sustainability and local culture blend harmoniously, inspiring others to adopt eco-friendly lifestyles. By fostering global collaboration and local engagement, we aim to rejuvenate our land, empower people, and contribute to a healthier planet.
