Luz da Floresta Holistic Institute

We are a community based in a ecovillage on the mountains of Portugal outside of Viseu.
This place used to be and abandon old village, where our ancestors carved by hand the beautiful terraces, springs and stone houses we have.
We been living here since 10years, and finally decided to give birth to our Holistic Institute to unify all our visions and manifest them in this lands.
Our main intention is to create a nature sanctuary, we believe that is the foundation for human well being and spiritual growth, so we call it Integrative Nature as a way to integrate the wild nature with our village and vice-versa, in the most ecological conscious way we know, creating a beautiful and diverse ecosystem. We feel that this beautiful nature sanctuary is medicine and inspiration for humans, and can help many people that are looking for healing, spiritual and personal development retreat in nature. As a retreat center, we building temples and accommodations in harmony and infused with nature. Our vision for the temples is to unity many ancient traditions from around the world and invite many Masters to come teach, being a symbol for the unification of worldwide cultures to build a better world.
To sustain this way of life, we create a school for self-sustainability, where we will be teaching natural agriculture, bio-construction, medicinal and edible plant transformation and renewable energies. We will host intensive and immersive courses and workshops with experts on this areas, putting in practice all this knowledge.
As holistic institute we like to integrate all this aspects and offer holistic experiences that can teach how everything is interconnected and interdependent. We will also be hosting youth camps to teach the new generations about this ways of living and the importance they have in the world we live on, specially we like to work with orphans to give them more opportunities and support for their life growth.
