I am a grassroot environmental activist, Ashoka Fellow, Founder and coordinator of a non profit called Save Your Future Cameroon. I started my grassroot movement in 1996 as a teenager in high school. I studied tropical agriculture at Regional College of Agriculture in Bambili- Cameroon, graduated with an HND, specialized in agro forestry and spring water catchment conservation. I later on was selected as first participant from Africa to study watersheds of the world in 2007 with Tahoe- Baikal Institute in USA and Siberia. In 2010 I was granted a scholarship by US Department to study organic farming and horticulture at Northeast Wisconsin technical College in Green Bay- Wisconsin.
I have received international and local recognition such as African international achievers award in UK, Green apple Award at House of Commons and was elected into Ashoka fellowship etc.
Above all, my story has been illustrated in a children’s book titled I AM FARMER, Growing an environmental movement in Cameroon and is being used in elementary schools across USA.
