Six days of training with Beatrice Briggs, founder and director of IIFAC – International Institute for Facilitation and Change (www.iifac.org). Learn how to organize meetings in a creative, efficient and satisfying way, how to recognize and manage conflicts as they emerge, and how to bring more partecipation and success to your organisation, commitee or firm. Consensus decision making helps groups to impove their communication skills, improves the dialogue among members and avoids polarizations that often lead to destructive behaviours and negative outcomes.
The complete training is divided into three modules.
Each module will be an interactive mix of lectures, exercises, group sharing, case studies and Q & A sessions. Morning and afternoon coffee breaks, lodging and meals are included.
Friday, May 16 (starting at 18:00) – Sunday, May 18 (ending at 16:00)
Module 1: The Leader as Facilitator: the basis for the effective meeting management.
Open to all. No previous experience required
Monday, May 19 (starting at 09:00) – Tuesday, May 20 (ending at 18:00)
Module 2: From Conflict to Cooperation: the roots of the conflict and the path to the joint action.
Requires participation in Module 1 or evidence of prior training and experience in group facilitation
Wednesday, May 21 (starting at 09:00) – Thursday, May 22 (ending at 18:00) Module 3: Effective decision-making: exploring of the dynamics of “Who decides” and “How we decide.”
Requires participation in Parts 1 and 2 or evidence of prior experience with group facilitation.
