Part I – Build a traditional wood fired oven for your community Part II – Establish weekly bread, pizza and baking activities in your wood fired community oven Oven Building Workshop – Part I Using primarily locally sourced materials, rock, clay, sand, brick, water, the workshop will build a functioning oven over the course of several days, up to a week. Planning the oven´s location for regular use as community oven and large events. Best practices, training proper use and safety, wood procurement and storage, weather protection, and more. Making a ´peel´ or paddle for placing bread and pizzas in oven. How to start a fire in the oven. Why store wood in the oven after use? How to keep the floor of the oven clean for easy use. What type of bowls and equipment for food preparation. Before the workshop begins the basic materials should be assembled in-situ. Community Oven, regular, weekly, bread and pizzas in your communities wood-fired oven – Part II With committed participants, training and management of regular baking activities. Where can flour be purchased then stored? How to make ´sourdough´ (Sauerteig, massa mãe, levain, massa madre). Teach children and adults to make bread, chapatis, veggies for immediate consumption and use during the following week. A community oven can be an important feature of any community, source of inspiration, learning, economy and really fun! The oven building and oven management workshops require at least 3 regular participants. All ages are welcome, if just for one day. We do not charge for our collaboration, just require your hospitality and depending on situation, participation in travel expenses. The Game is an opportunity for people to to be motivated and guided by the desire and excitement of making things happen – what kind of things? – things that make life better for themselves and for others – be they projects or enterprises. gain confidence and faith in themselves and in others – and experience the value of what different people, whatever age or whatever background bring to the table – its all about the power of people coming together to enjoy diversity and feel the power of collaboration. experience how creativity can be a big part in learning and building a sense of place learn helpful new ways of doing things especially in working with others There will be lots of fun stuff and lots of motivational encouragement with hopefully all players finding a sense of awe and inspiration at what they are capable of especially in being able to work with others. People playing can relax and enjoy it all because – it is a game. Coaches get to play the Game along with everyone else being only required to help keep teams on track with a bit of reassurance and enthusiasm. Its all guided by a paint by numbers canvas (see attached) for people to follow and fill in over the 2.5 days, so it’s all easy to follow and I will run some training sessions in person or by skype 2 weeks out and I will feed you information between now and the Anyone can pitch an idea for a project and then people form teams around projects that have the most interest. Working on any of the projects will teach people skills they can apply to any future projects they are involved with.

This gathering was truly a fruit of partnership and community power. GENOA has worked closely with organizations like Ecoversities Alliance, Permayouth, GEN, NextGENOA, GEN Australia, Possible Futures and Resources Regeneration Labs; together with many eco-communities, eco-villages, eco-projects and individuals in the region to manifest this beautiful healing, harnessing and harmonising event. The gathering attracted over 300 registrations with around 30 – 80 constant attendees throughout our eleven sessions all the way from the opening ceremony on Nov 26 until the closing circle on Nov 28. This virtual gathering showed us the true power of community togetherness, joining hands, heads and hearts sharing wisdom and empowering each other. Drawing experience and knowledge from our inner wells and collective roots, the gathering was designed to heal and integrate and uplift the three elements of – BODY (somatic and creative practices for mindfulness and well-being); MIND (reflective dialogues and presentations on regeneration) and SPIRIT (cultural performances and activities for healing and celebration). On the first day, we journeyed from Returning to the Sacred, to Navigating the Great Turning with The Work that Reconnects before embarking on a Deep Dive of the Great Reset and Regeneration of the Global South.
