The Elphinstone Forest Protection Camp was formed as a project to protect the old growth forests on the Sunshine Coast that surround Mt. Elphinstone. Now we are developing the camp into a small community for people interested in living more sustainably and off the land. We are looking for individuals interested in joining the camp and helping us build our capacity and amount of people. At this point we have had many visitors but are looking for permanent members! Come check out the camp and see what you think.
As this is a relatively new community we have lots of projects that we need help with including designing and planting a permaculture food forest, building non-permanent structures like tiny homes or platforms for camping, as well as beautifying the camp to make it more homey!
Join and bring forward any skills you have to offer.
Help needed this summer:
– Teaching permaculture and food forest growing techniques, as well as helping with design
– Planting/sewing seed to provide the group with food
– Cooking meals for the group
– Building temporary structures and/or tiny homes
– Creating banners and signage that are aesthetically pleasing

I am relatively new to the idea of ecovillages but have been putting the word out to others that I know about the planning part. I will see if anyone is available for helping create some tiny homes or temp home structures.
*I am brand new to all of this so I don’t know how much I can support this project at this particular time* I am keen to learn though. I am a pretty good cook 😉
