While mangroves have been the main source of fuelwood, the community now understands that destroying this resource is a major threat to resilience and will seek out alternative sources. Extending this theme of shifting from depleting natural resources, they will also explore alternative livelihood options through local economic skills and enterprise development for women and youth. Blending social and ecological capacity improvements, they will help community members to use the resilience assessment tools to rethink their future through participatory planning, organization of local resources, and initiating locally led community based initiatives.
