GEN Ambassador

Victoria is a tourism graduate who lived and worked for a year in The Gambia together with the community of Kartong hosting their first EDE in 2013/14. This was her first connection with GEN and the Eco-village movement. Inspired by the collective action of individuals and communities over the world to engage in sustainable living, she has taken the opportunity contribute to this movement by to working closer with GEN.

The Gambia: Sustainable Kartong Ecovillage Development and Responsible Tourism

Kartong in The Gambia is a special place, with a wealth of, hitherto, unrecognised assets including unspoilt, deserted beaches, and great tourism potential.
