En este taller vamos a explorar como son nuestras respuestas al estado actual en que se encuentra el mundo; de un modo que nos ayude a despertar y acceder a la motivación, creatividad, fuerza y solidaridad necesarias para la transición a una cultura humana sostenible. Juntas haremos un recorrido que nos llevará a espacios en los que podamos reconocer en que maneras, nosotras como mujeres, sentimos los peligros que hay en estas crisis, experimientando sus efectos y visualizando y co-creando nuestro futuro. The Global Campus Palestine project has been building a network of partners, working towards the same goals all over Palestine. We are building a network of solidarity and support, and we are attracting many partners and projects. There is power in connecting local communities with a large-scale network that shares common goals and aims. The Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) includes over 10 000 communities and projects; this includes traditional villages on the way to becoming more ecological and sustainable. One goal is to connect with the existing network of Palestinian projects, and together to build the first Palestinian ecovillage. The GEN Palestine network will be the foundation, to then establish “GEN Sham,” a network within the countries of the Levant, to create manuals and study material in Arabic, including local knowledge and in connection with Arabic culture. Some coming steps will be to offer an EDE (Ecovillage Design Education) course in Palestine in 2015; to hold a network gathering in Jordan in 2016; and to connect with the Permaculture Association. We are supporting the creating of a database of experts, and a “solution library” of skills and technologies. The political situation in Palestine; with its walls, check points and barriers; does not allow easy connection among people, who are already busy with their economic survival. We see it as a great responsibility, to use our freedom and ability to connect people, to support the emergence of a strong regional network.

The Bangladesh Association for Sustainable Development (BASD) is organizing a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) on 5-10 February 2018 and then an Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) program on 1-10 April 2018. The courses will be taught mainly in Bengali but there will be English translators for foreigners who wish to join. Course fee is US$75 per person, per course. Are ‘clans’ a possible form for that? And is all of that just a nice utopian idea? … let’s find out! ZEGG Summer Camp 2015 … is a practical 11-day experiment for those seeking a life to match their dreams – whether personal or social. Supported by teams from ZEGG, “clan groups” of 20-30 people will meet daily to share, conduct ZEGG Forum and explore specific issues in more depth. Desde Arterra Bizimodu se va a abrir unos días al voluntariado para realizar una serie de trabajos en los cuales precisamos mucha más gente que nosotras mismas. Para ello, necesitaríamos un grupo de entre 10 y 15 personas. Se valorará las ganas de poner vuestro granito de arena al proyecto sean cuales sean vuestros saberes y competencias. El periodo de voluntariado será del 18 al 25 de septiembre de 2016 y pedimos un compromiso mínimo de cinco días de trabajo. Se acerca el invierno y queremos enfocar estos días en labores necesarias para prepararnos para el frio y el tiempo de descanso de la huerta. Los trabajos que se abordarán serán básicamente preparar LEÑA (cortar, apilar, construir leñeras…) y la DESPENSA DE INVIERNO (cosechar, congelar, embotar, etiquetar…). Durante el voluntariado: Tienes la oportunidad de acercarte a conocer el lugar y compartir con el grupo en una fórmula de intercambio labores/estancia. El trabajo consiste en una media de seis horas/día aprox. En principio de mañana y algo por la tarde. Las comidas las hacemos en común en el comedor de Arterra Bizimodu. About Me I’m 62 years old, with deep roots in the environmental and regenerative farming movements. I’ve worked in permaculture, started a farmers market, and have spent years as a yoga teacher and sound bath practitioner. I’m a Kundalini yoga teacher and leader in that field, currently living in the Black Hills of South Dakota. A few years ago I went through a divorce, and I’m now exploring relocation — looking for my people: those living in harmony with the land who also hold a spiritual practice, where I can contribute the full range of skills I bring. Welcome to the Donuimun Eco-Village Common House, a place to share and learn, rest and play, in the heart of Seoul’s most appealing new neighbourhood. This project interprets the inaugural Seoul Biennale of Architecture & Urbanism theme, Imminent Commons, as a call to practical and collective action. We take the public occasion of the Biennale to imagine—at once playfully and seriously—that after the exhibition closes, this cultural zone might be retrofitted to become a new eco-village for Seoul (inspired by the Los Angeles Eco-Village). The resulting community would reuse these buildings to house its residents equitably, incubate enterprises of right livelihood, and enhance the ecological and sociable values of the spaces it shares with its neighbours and visitors. In the spirit of the Recycling Common, our exhibition at 35-40 Saemunan-ro contains a Give and Take shelf, where Biennale visitors are invited to donate and adopt pre-loved household items, from utensils to clothing to plants. Many Biennale visitors have already been taking items home, and we also encourage people to bring clean, working items to share with others. Items can simply be placed on the designated shelves within the exhibition.
