Himalayan Hemp Organisation is India’s first Hemp Cooperative Society of farmers and eco-preneurs following AIDA (Awareness, Intent, Desire, and Action) for promoting sustainable development with smart organic farming, innovation integration, and a fair economic model by utilising and preserving the indigenous Himalayan hemp strain.
Our first product is Himalayan Hemp Sanitary Pads which are organic, biodegradable, healthy, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and highly effective for post-natal menstruating women. We are planning to install these sanitary pad setups in multiple villages so that women can not only have a side income but can also provide a menstrual gift to other women.
As a more elaborated vision, Himalayan Hemp Cooperative Society has developed an economic model and it will be fairly distributed for running four main sections of the eco-village as Himalayan Hemp Seed Bank, Himalayan Hemp Healing Village, Himalayan Hemp Research Institute, and Himalayan Hemp Industries.
Note: We are trying to preserve the indigenous variety of hemp, not the industrial hemp which is actually an unverified plant being spread in various parts of the world which makes it important to preserve the indigenous variety of hemp as well.
Membership & Visitors

- Open to new members
- Open to visitors
The community is in the initial phase due to social and legal taboos associated with hemp; therefore, we would initially require people who can invest in the projects and work as volunteers for the cooperative society.
The people joining can contribute in these sections: -
As a farmer / Researcher
As a Seed Bank Specialist
As a Research Institute Workshop Organiser or Volunteer
As an Ayurvedic Specialist for making medicinal mixtures
As a bio-industry, not just sanitary pads but all other ideas
As a brand specialist and social media management
As an investor
They can get in touch and discuss the ideas to proceed further about the work.
