GEN Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) Course Scholarship Application

We are pleased that you are interested in our course, and courageous enough to ask for a scholarship to make it more possible for you to attend! As we consider how to include a diverse participant group, we would like to get to know you and your work in the world a bit. We cannot promise that you will get a scholarship, since we can only offer a limited amount of support. We will prioritise applicants from the Global South, from non-majority backgrounds and identities, and/or from crisis areas. We strive for gender balance, diversity of ethnic background and cultural heritage, and pay a lot of attention to how you plan to apply what you learn in service to your community and the world. So please take the time to share your passion and goals with us.

We want to know what the wider impact and ripple effects will be of you attending the course. How will you use what you learn in your job, projects and activties? Why will it make a difference, and what will the impact be? How will having the EDE certificate support you and those around you?

We do our best to raise money for our scholarship fund and to help you with raising funds for your participation – and that is sometimes easier when we know a bit more about you. At the end, it is up to the EDE and GEN Education team to decide what we are able to offer, and to whom.

We believe that there are many forms of wealth – not only money, and are happy to work with more creative exchanges of mutual benefit. Previous students have for example helped promote the course through strong personal or professional networks or through creating content for social media, others have helped with translations, created marketing plans, mapped projects, written articles and more. It depends on your skills and interests, so tell us if you have any ideas, skills and communications channels you would like to offer.
