At COP30 in Belém do Pará, Brazil, the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) will take part in a series of collaborative events that highlight the transformative role of ecovillages and community-led initiatives in addressing the climate crisis.

Event 1: The Power of Communities

This event explores the importance of ecovillages and communities that sustain agriculture in the face of climate challenges. Speakers include representatives from GEN Brazil, CSA Brasil (Community Supported Agriculture), and Instituto Flor do Anhumas.

Event 2: We Are Nature – Weaving Knowledge on the Rights of Nature Worldwide
Date: November 13th, 2025 | Time: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Location: Embaixada dos Povos
An intercultural dialogue bringing together movements and organizations from around the world to share wisdom about the Rights of Nature and our interconnectedness as part of the living Earth.

Event 3: Empowering Youth and Local Communities for Adaptation, Regenerative Action, and Climate Resilience
Date: November 14th, 2025 | Time: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Blue Zone – Side Event Room 1
Co-organized by GEN and GARN (Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature), this session focuses on empowering youth and local communities as key agents of regenerative and resilient responses to the climate crisis.
