Hi! I’m Eva, and I run social media for GEN International — the global network connecting ecovillages, intentional communities, and regenerative culture-builders across every continent. I’m looking for a co-conspirator to help me tell the stories of the people quietly building the future: off-grid villages in the Philippines, permaculture farms in Senegal, urban cohousing projects in Berlin, elders passing down land wisdom in the Andes. It’s a wildly rich, wildly underrepresented world, and I want more people to fall in love with it the way I have. What you’ll actually do: Dream up and create content for Instagram and LinkedIn (reels, carousels, stories, captions that don’t sound like a corporate newsletter) Dig into our global network and turn your findings into stories people want to share Pitch your own ideas. If there’s a series, a theme, a format, or a corner of the network that lights you up, that’s what I want you to focus on. What we’re looking for: A natural storyteller, someone who can spot the human thread in a project update or a photo from a faraway village Genuinely curious about ecovillages, sustainability, intentional community, regenerative living Self-motivated and communicative; this is a flexible, trust-based role Why this role: This isn’t a “post 3x a week and don’t ask questions” internship. You’ll have real creative freedom to work on what excites you, learn how a global grassroots network tells its story, and build a portfolio full of meaningful, purpose-driven content. Queremos ofrecer un Curso en el que aprender, experimentar y profundizar en algunos aspectos de la Bioconstrucción, de manera profesional, familiar y cercana al mismo tiempo. En el curso Fuego y Barro trabajaremos elementos como: Estufas de masa térmica, hornos de leña, estufas rocket, adobe,….. Aprendiendo a construir con materiales sanos y naturales, adaptados a nuestro hogar y necesidades; para obtener una mayor eficiencia, salud y calidez en nuestro hogar y cuidar en medio ambiente al mismo tiempo. Horno de leña tradicional u horno moruno. Aprenderemos sobre su funcionamiento, materiales y herramientas; y construiremos un horno de principio a fín: base, suelo, aislante, molde, cúpula, revoco, puerta y encendido. Obtendremos los materiales de nuestro entorno (barro del río), aprenderemos a hacer adobe – cob para: modelado directo, ladrillos…. Estufas de masa térmica. Incluye kacheloven – estufas rusas – estufas de mamposteria y estufas rocket. Las estufas de masa térmica son altamente eficientes a la hora de convertir el valor calorífico de la madera en calor, consiguiendo una eficiencia que puede alcanzar alrededor de 90% comparado con un 20% de las chimeneas de fuego abierto. Estas funcionan por una combustión rápida de la leña, produciendo calor que se acumula en la masa térmica y que va siendo irradiado al ambiente poco a poco durante más de 10 horas; proporcionando así un calor mucho más agradable que el que producen las estufas convencionales. Durante este módulo aprenderemos sobre: – los principios de funcionamiento de las estufas de masa térmica y rockets, – la masa térmica – los diferentes componentes del sistema: cámara de combustión, laberinto, chimenea… – adaptación de una estufa convencional de hierro en una estufa de masa térmica – principios de encendido y combustión – limpieza y mantenimiento. I am looking to bring together 6–8 like-minded couples to create a small, self-sufficient, off-grid community in the Eastern Cape., South Africa. Rather than buying land first and then looking for people to join, the idea is to form the founding group first and choose the land together. By combining our resources, skills and experience, we may be able to secure a better property and create something that genuinely suits the whole group. This is intended as a long-term community, not a holiday retreat. It will involve work, responsibility, cooperation and a willingness to learn and contribute. We are particularly interested in retired or semi-retired couples without dependants who are still physically capable and have practical skills or experience in areas such as: Farming, food growing or permaculture • Livestock • Solar, electrical, IT and off-grid systems .  Water farming and Waste management • Mechanical/engines/general maintenance • Healthcare or nursing • Project management, organisation and conflict resolve Each couple would be expected to bring both a useful skill/experience and a financial contribution. The exact structure and investment would be developed collectively by the founding group, with appropriate legal agreements protecting everyone’s interests and possibly managed under a professionally set up Trust Fund There would also be a trial/assessment period before a commitment. The most important thing is finding the right people — practical, trustworthy, respectful and genuinely interested in building a simpler, sustainable life together.
