About me

Liveloula is an organically growing project with a focus on peaceful, ecological and self sustainable living.
At the moment there are two permanent residents and a steady stream of helpers and visitors. From next year on there will be five permanent residents (two couples and a baby).
One of Liveloula’s goals is to expand in space. This we’d like to achieve by means of purchasing land partly to allow the return of wilderness, partly by restoring old orchards to stimulate the biologic fruit production in this valley. Furthermore Liveloula likes the community to grow. With more permanent residents and a good flow of helpers it will be easier to live a self sustainable live. With more people comes more insight, perspective and knowledge. The most important thing however is that with a bigger number of people there will be a more lively community.
Liveloula is located in the northern Peloponnese just outside the village Seliana. The valley where Liveloula is situated is rich in water, divers in vegetation, it’s beauty cannot be described. At this moment we are cultivating parts of a 1 hectare plot. Two sides of this plot are bordered by forest and the other sides are (abandoned) orchards. Liveloula is off grid. Power is generated with photovoltaics and there are plans to build a hydro-electric system powered by a river nearby. Our drinking water comes from a spring and irrigation water is tapped from a stream higher up in the forest. Last year the first natural building was finished and next year we’ll start building the second one. 75% of the vegetables we’ve eaten last year were organic and grown locally. Liveloula produces home made products like soap, medicinal oils, tinctures, clothes and jewelry.
If you’re interested to live and help at Liveloula, you can contact us by email. We’re always looking for people to share this beautiful place.
