Reinvesting the benefits of indigenous wisdom into regenerative communities

I was trained in Journalism/Mass Communication and I worked for the government social security department for 22 years before devoting myself to Peace Activism, seeking to win back some measure of control over Africa's indigenous knowledge systems, food sovereignty, capacity building for refugees & IDPs of the genocidal war in Cameroon. I am designing an African dream of a borderless community of love & mutual support for young people of the global south in solidarity with the global north.

I am CEO of Better World Cameroon, founder of Bafut Ecovillage, and Co-founder of Cameroon one world Linking Association CAOWLA. As custodian of Bafut indigenous wisdom, I have committed 35 years of my life to nurturing young change-makers through a rite of passage and ceremony in the economy of love and linking them to youth-led initiatives of GEN Africa member countries. My mission has been facilitated by my rich experience in using the tools of twinnings and setting up sister cities for building links of understanding for international solidarity between GEN Africa and NextGEN ecovillage/Permaculture initiatives. Presently I am using a non-formal hands-on education concept to set up a Network Weaving Platform designed for youth-led solutions in Permaculture Ecovillages Alliances. Using my experience in setting up a Twinning between Bafut Council & Lancing City Council and Linking Bafut Living Biotope to Tamera Biotope, I am working with partners in Europe to research the landscape of African Ecovillage leadership and communities that can be linked or twinned in regenerative research partnerships.
