Agua es vida, el recurso más importante de todos. Desde la perspectiva de Sunseed como un centro educativo sobre la vida de bajo impacto nos gustaría ofrecerles un curso para aprender, profundizar e intercambiar los conocimientos teóricos y prácticos sobre el cuidado de agua. El curso va a estar enfocado principalmente en el tema de saneamiento ecológico de aguas residuales, cubriendo a la vez los aspectos teóricos de potabilización de agua y aprovechamiento de agua lluvia. Vamos a aprender como diseñar y construir un sistema completo de tratamiento de aguas grises a través de la construcción de humedales artificiales de flujo subsuperficial, en cuales se trata de la utilización de plantas acuáticas para depurar las aguas residuales que han tenido un tratamiento primario. Los humedales artificiales son canales de gravilla sembrados con las plantas depuradoras, han sido aplicadas y debidamente reguladas en varios países de Europa y ofrecen una alternativa sana y segura tanto para autogestionar los recursos de agua como poder reutilizar agua tratada en un hogar. Usando herramientas como power point, videos y charlas vamos a aprender sobre el diseño y aspectos claves para tener en cuenta construyendo nuestro sistema casero. En tiempo libre vamos a divertirnos con juegos, música y baños en una poza cercana. El curso va a estar dividido en partes teóricas y prácticas. Taller Práctico Construcción de Invernadero con estructura de caña Aprende a diseñar y a construir un invernadero utilizando la caña como material base En este curso aprenderás cómo construir tu propio invernadero con caña de una forma sencilla. Durante 3 días trabajaremos en equipo, aprenderemos diferentes técnicas de estructuras con caña y los beneficios de la reutilización de materiales. Experimentaremos las distintas fases de construcción y conoceremos los aspectos y detalles del proceso: Herramientas y materiales La caña: selección, recolección, preparación y usos. CASA, the Council of Sustainable Settlements of Latin America, is hosting its second continental gathering since the network’s founding in 2012. This historic event, to be held in Colombia in June 2015, will gather around 100 activists and leaders from the grassroots ecovillage movements in Latin America, focusing on strengthening structures and relationships to build a resilient network that promotes sustainable living in Latin America. CASA is working to amplify the efforts of ecovillages, permaculture projects, indigenous and traditional communities, eco-neighborhoods and eco-caravanas all over Latin America. This gathering will be held in collaboration with the Latin American Permaculture Network to deepen alliance between our movements. En este Taller nos introduciremos en la filosofía y técnica de Dragon Dreaming, de forma teórica, experiencial y también de forma práctica, aprendiendo sus fases y pasos. Para ello queremos ofreceros un taller activo, con diversas actividades y dinámicas. Dragon Dreaming DD ha sido co-creado por John Croft y su difunta esposa Vivienne Elanta (los cuales han colaborado con Joanna Macy). Esta técnica se basa en 3 principios: Servicio a la Tierra, Creación de Comunidad y Crecimiento Personal. Dragon Dreaming DD está inspirado en el activismo social y ambiental, la ecología profunda, la nueva ciencia moderna, la teoría de sistemas vivos, la teoría del caos, la no violencia y la sabiduría de los aborígenes australianos. Dragon Dreaming nos facilita el conectar con nuestra llamada, concretizar nuestros sueños y materializar los de forma física, haciendo de estos sueños una realidad. ¿En qué consiste un taller introductorio? Se explica la herramienta, basada en una rueda, con cuatro partes o dimensiones: El sueño, la planificación, la acción y la celebración. Se introducen herramientas transversales de facilitación de grupos, comunicación carismática y no violenta, acuerdos grupales, inteligencia colectiva… Se introducen herramientas dinámicas, participativas y vivenciales para poder: 1. Ancient cultures have long accepted the power of the mind, and agriculture and food security is one of the most pressing issues of these times. Our ancestors were aware of how we are interwoven into the wider context of our living, including how these connections impact our health and vitality. For over four years, small landholders in India have been integrating mind-heart based meditation with methods of organic farming. This 90 minute Brahma Kumaris’ workshop will explore this experimental process, being both instructive and practical, didactic and interactive.

The Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) in collaboration with the Findhorn Foundation will host a dialogue circle in the spirit of a Talanoa Dialogue to consider how communities and ecovillages answer the questions Where are we? Where do we want to go? How do we get there? in the face of climate change. Talanoa is a traditional word used in Fiji and across the Pacific to reflect a process of inclusive, participatory and transparent dialogue. The purpose of Talanoa is to share stories, build empathy and to make wise decisions for the collective good. The process of Talanoa involves the sharing of ideas, skills and experience through storytelling.

The Communities for Future Summit is an entirely free, online experience hosted by the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN). An international training course on deep communication and empathic leadership skills for actors in European / international projects. Evolutionary change needs new leadership qualities. The zeitgeist is a calling for a transformation of fear-based behavior into participatory action with co-empowerment, transparency, connection and flow. Social competencies necessary for this transition are made up of two ingredients: the ability to benefit from conflict and the ability to create cooperation. Cooperative Communication is a key skill enabling project leaders to enter into new forms of contact with themselves, with people around them and with their environment. It includes deeper listening and empathy to connect us with the context in which we act and it supports integrative growth. In this training course we will experience different approaches to connected communication through the tools of non-violent and inter-cultural communication, deep ecology and ZEGG Forum. The Bangladesh Association for Sustainable Development (BASD) is organizing a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) on 5-10 February 2018 and then an Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) program on 1-10 April 2018. The goal of this course is to free members of Learning Centers, Communities and Ecovillages from blocks around money. This will help you achieve the financial results your organization needs to thrive. When your members and leadership haven’t untangled their money issues, the organization will be led by their emotional and unconscious beliefs and patterns of scarcity and fear around money: Fundraising leads aren’t properly pursued Big decisions are fed by fear Critical projects get paralyzed by conflict The non-profit scarcity mindset undermines growth The organization is held back from reaching goals or fulfilling its vision Organizations waste or miss out on raising thousands or even millions of dollars because of the personal money issues that team members inevitably bring with them. This is unavoidable – we all have money issues. This is so painful! And yet, we don’t talk about money stuff. It’s taboo. That’s why the patterns remain unconscious. And that’s where money coaching comes in.

Climate change is one of the biggest issues of humankind in the 21st century, but is a symptom of a much bigger issue: We humans do not live sustainably on earth! Modern society focuses mainly on new and green technologies and greater efficiency as solution of climate change and this is of course one step towards climate protection. But much more is possible! The ecovillage movement is a bottom-up approach from people, who do not want to wait for policy or technology solving the climate change problem. Ecovillages are models of experienced sustainability and show that a more sustainable living is possible without affecting our quality of life. They test in a microcosm what can be adopted on a large scale. There are four keys in the ecovillages approach to climate change: ecological, economic, social and worldview. This seminar consists of three parts: In the first part we get known to the ZEGG community. The ZEGG community is an ecovillage of 100 people living and working together cooperatively, with a CO2 footprint per person only half as big as the average in Germany. This is possible due our renewable energy and heat supply system, our garden and the edible landscapes, our water supply, constructed wetland and compost toilets. In the second part of the seminar we summarize what climate science knows about climate change and which solutions it suggests. We discuss the arguments of the climate skeptics and try to understand why it is so hard for policy to make a new climate protection agreement. This part part will be taken over by Dr. Tobias Bayr. He is a climate scientist, who did his PhD about climate change and lived one year in ZEGG. In the third part of the seminar we deepen the ecovillage approach to climate change. Beside ecological aspects we will focus on the social and worldview aspects, i.e. we give a little insight, which instruments we use in ZEGG for community building and for communication. The 10 days are aimed to raise awareness of the project “incubator” designed to meet the growing demand for training and information on the universe ecovillage, self-management or rural communities. A unique experience , designed for a minimum 30 and maximum 50 people, in which a group of members of the RIE to share our knowledge in a novel format. In addition, the conference will be eminently practical and operational, since training and workshops will be mainly oriented experimentation also help building a straw bale house, to activate the orchards with micro organisms, finish up a compost, neo-rural and other necessities. The primary audience will be the formation of groups, or with some history behind it but who want to learn to lay the foundation for a long and prosperous business. It is also providing a space for these groups to live together for the first time in a virtual community immersion, a “flight simulator”, taking possession of our space as if it were already yours actually. From the outset will have to learn how to decide all matters or issues that they will present. An invitation to all people who are attracted to alternative lifestyles, to play together and learn how to take one’s dreams to reality, to fly high but also how projects are grounded.
