A Quinta is a regenerative farm and community in southwest Portugal, rooted in family values and a love for the land. What began as a family project has grown into a collaborative space where people come together to live simply, work with the earth, and explore sustainable ways of being.
We care for animals like sheep and chickens, grow food using permaculture principles, and build with natural materials. Our seasonal courses in natural building attract people from all over who want to learn hands-on skills and contribute to something meaningful.
While we’re not a spiritual retreat or wellness center, many who visit feel nourished by the rhythm of life here—close to nature, guided by the seasons, and grounded in honest, daily work.
Our aim is to remain a living example of what’s possible when people choose connection over consumption and regeneration over exploitation. We’re open to new hands, new hearts, and new ideas.

If you’d like to join the A Quinta community, there are a few meaningful ways to get involved:
You can stay as a guest, either short- or long-term, to experience the daily rhythm of life on the farm. A Quinta welcomes digital nomads, remote workers, and others seeking time for rest, reflection, or creative focus. For deeper engagement, consider applying as a volunteer and contribute in areas like natural building, gardening, kitchen support, or land care.
If you’re a facilitator, teacher, or guide, you’re invited to hold workshops that align with A Quinta’s values—community, regeneration, simplicity, and learning by doing.
Some who come as guests or volunteers feel called to become residents, joining the long-term vision of co-creating a living, learning space rooted in care for the Earth and each other.
