Baireni ecovillage aims to promote socio-cultural values of the ethnic community and sustainable bio-intensive farming system. Empowerment of youth, women and elderly people to sustainably manage natural resources and strengthen their capitals is the motto of the ecovillage. The ecovillage is an output of Dr Binayak Rajbhandari’s vision and concept of transforming traditional villages into sustainable ecovillages.
