Bulemba Rwenzori Ecovillage Limited (BREV) started as a community based organization by the name of Bulemba Community Tourism and Conservation Association in 2019 by a group of concerned citizens to strike a balance between development, conservation and tourism.
Later in 2021 it was fully incorporated under the laws of Uganda Reg. No. 80020003659880 and transformed to Bulemba Rwenzori Ecovillage Limited (BREV) aiming at championing conservation of the biodiversity, by providing practical solutions to the growing challenges that nature face. BREV integrate indigenous knowledge and positive cultural values in the conservation of nature working directly with grassroots groups in the region.
BREV values resilient environment and resilient people towards ecosystem-based-adaptation.
Community tourism:
- We mobilize the communities to engage in activities focused at promoting local tourism as well environmental conservation.
- Access trails, Community museum, accommodation, restaurant, guided nature walks and sanitation.
Reforestation:
- Engage in indigenous, fruit and herbal medicinal tree planting which promote positive cultural values of the community that rhyme with conservation of nature and tourism promotion.
Sacred Heritage:
- Develop important tourism attractions like cultural and sacred sites, Musughundi river falls and confluence for easy access and guest comfort and Recreational Centre
Agriculture:
- To reduce on the pressure that community members put to Rwenzori Mountain National Park (RMNP) resources. Communities engage in Bee Keeping, Passion Fruit Growing and Yams growing.
Empowerment:
- Community Craft shop at the site, Savings and Internal Lending Communities, education.

You can volunteer and offer skills in a number of fields; fundraising, resource mobilization, project planning, capacity strengthening, marketing and branding, tree planting, be a member so that we grow and transform community together, leave a legacy by funding community initiatives.
