89Ha Rural Landsharing Community comprised of 12x 2000m2 lots in two hamlets. At present we have 16 residents on 7 lots, one lot for sale, 4 lots in reserve to facilitate intergenerational changeover. We utilise co-housing, regenerative farming and permaculture principles to manage the land sustainably. We are in an area that was devastated by the 2019 Black Summer fires and we work to build climate resilience, adaptation and mitigation strategies. Community dynamics are close knit and progressive, utilising Compassionate Communication (a member prerequisite) and proactive personal responsibility to manage conflicts. Through various circumstances we are almost fully single-parent households and though this was not intentional, we now factor this into long term and short term planning and work activities. We have undertaken a range of government grants in regeneration, bushfire recovery and resilience, conservation, and climate resilience.
