Co-founded by Sofiah Thom and Brendan Jaffer, husband and wife for over 15 years. Danyasa was first bulit by Brendan to create a space for Sofiah, his wife to dance and offer her yoga, dance and expressive healing arts retreats and workshops back in 2008, when Dominical was a simple surf town.
Danyasa’s grounds are the home to the original Envision Festival that was sparked and conceived from Brendan and Sofiah’s wedding in 2010.
In 2018 Brendan and Sofiah completed the build out on their 1/2 acre in the heart of Dominical with 12 suites and a gorgeous mermaid pool. Danyasa Eco-Retreat is constructed from up-cycled Shipping containers and we pride ourselves in being as eco-friendly as we can, with using local organic products and soaps and honoring the wonders of nature that surround us.
Our mission is to create a sanctuary for seekers to come home to their bodies, their truth and their inner nature.
