Green Commune Belica Develop Belica in the eco-traditional values and to protect the natural and national heritage

This year our NGO received the first grant in cooperation with the Macedonian Ecological Society (MES), under the project Green Commune Belica. The project includes the installation of 20kw FV system on the rooftop of our community building (an old school reconstructed by the local community); educational workshops on renewable sources of energy, climate change and the protection of biodiversity; the installation of Microclimate Monitoring Station (to ensure accurate measurement of wind, rainfall, sunlight, and evapotranspiration) and the establishment of a Green Commune by connecting with other local communities, building partnerships and working closely together towards climate change adaptation, development of eco-tourism and green economies in the region. We hope that after the completion of our project, Feb. 2024 we will aspire other rural communities to replicable our model and join us in this movement.
