We offer you the opportunity of living in an authentic Gambian rural environment in exchange for a small help with daily chores. Types of help and learning opportunities
There is not an scheduled help you should provide. However, there are tons of possibilities for you to improve the life of the community while you are staying here. Some of the options are:
-Helping spreading the awareness of tree planting in our communities with proper reinforcement to ensure sustainable climate action.
– Helping women with their daily chores, including cooking, fetching water and such. They will be glad for the help.
– Organizing games/other activities with the neighbourhood children.
– Picking up garbage. There are tons everywhere in the country.
– Help me build my house, currently under construction, when materials are available.
– Any other way of helping that you might think of. As a new settlement, every little help will be much appreciated.

Accommodation
A lot of places in The Gambia do not have running water or electricity, and such is my case. I do have a well for water and, as we are a tight community, we can get anything you might need in the neighbouring houses.
As for food requierements, just ask for it in advance.
What else…
Keep in mind that the closest town in a 30-minute walking distance. It is easy to move around, but this little extra time should be counted on.
